The Sno calendar is full of competitive events for both skiers and boarders! We had an awesome 06/07 Season. We finished as the 4th Best UK University with 4 University champions many podiums and countless people improving their skiing beyond recognition! It’s all about the fun whilst improving your riding. There is a place for everyone in the Sno Team.

In the 2007/08 Season we will be gracing the following competitions and events with our presence.

BUDS weekend in Edinburgh
BUISC indoor National race and freestyle qualifiers
Ski 2 Help – Charity race event with the BUISC finals incorporated
and the main event BUSC

KINGS

There are four rounds of kings racing then an epic national final at the end of the year. At kings it is dual slalom on dry slope and we enter both ski and board teams. Kings races have a great atmosphere with a touch of Loughborough arrogance because we go in fancy dress and normally dominate the banter and the races. In addition, all kit provided for the event.

BUDS

BUDS is one of the best weekends of the year. It takes place in Edinburgh at the savage Hill End slope. Both competitors and supporters can go to BUDS because there are some legendary nights out and some awesome competition. Even though it the coldest place on earth.

BUISC

BUISC took off in a big way last year and we certainly dominated on and off the slope! Last year the qualification event was held in MK and the finals at Castleford Xscape. There is a whole host of events for both racers and freestylers to take part.

BUSC

BUSC is the largest event of the year. It’s a great value for money second Loughborough Sno holiday, it’s also a competition week for the Sno TEAM and it’s a like fresher’s week on Snow…epic. It is a weeklong event held in Saalbach (Austrian Alps) and attended by 2500 other Uni students. At BUSC, there are all the events imaginable from Super G to Skier X and slope-style to Big Air. Last year we came close to winning overall title so this year we can do even better. Like all Sno Team events, they are whatever you want them to be. If you want to improve, feel the buzz of competition whilst developing your skills that’s great. If your aim is to make the finals or become a UK University champion. It’s all possible at these events. So long as we can help everyone develop and have a memorable time at Loughborough were happy.
