Hello Loughborough Sno,

Do you ever wake up in the morning and think to yourself: "Dang, I could make a Loughborough Sno one of those"?

Well I do, I don't know if it is a good or a bad thing and should probably get some professional help, but instead figured running for Merchandise Rep would be more productive.

Who am I?

My name is Robin Shute,
I have been in Sno for three years now; I have attended all the Winter and Easter holidays, nearly all the socials along with competing at all the race events throughout the years (haven't missed a single one) representing the first team and helping to win two British titles along the way. So you might say I enjoy being part of the club ;-).

On top of this I was the Race Captain for Sno in 08/09; I really enjoyed giving something back to the club. It was very satisfying helping the club to develop by providing more opportunities and better training to our members. That reward of fuelling everyone's Snowsports passion is why I am again running for committee, it’s a bit addictive.

Why am I perfect for this position?

I'm not a stranger to producing stash for Sno. The Raceteam jackets: logo designed, graphics produced, supplier selected, orders taken, jackets sold all by me. The whole process from start to finish, and they were that popular that Mikey commissioned another sizable batch again this year! I believe that all the attributes needed to be a successful stash rep have already been demonstrated by myself doing this.

One of the perks of working in the ski industry means that I am surrounded by companies and individuals who produce Snowsports apparel. I have already been talking to these people about next year and have been promised amazing things by them, let's just say we are going to look good next year!

Oh yeah, not sure it's relevant but it needs to be mentioned; I can make a pretty fucking amazing Fondue, I even surprised myself by doing it. It happened once, it may not happen again but I'm still claiming it!

The most important question. What are you going to get?

Ridiculously better quality hoodies, I'm talking fur lined, separate mens/womens fit and styles, zipped at the front and all for the same price as this year! These babies wouldn't look out of place in a Snow & Rock catalogue.

Beanies, Limited edition T-shirts, Headbands, Baseball caps, underwear, ski ties, scarfs, belts and buckles, Catsuits (I have a cunning plan for this one), literally anything you could want and imagine. I will offer a service where you can put in requests for stash, if you want it I can make it. This has always been promised in the past, but not always delivered. This year it will be different!

It's all lined up ready to go. All I need you to do is say YES by voting Robin for Merchandise Rep.

Proposer, Cazz Lander (Now there's a proposition)

Well Hello you lovely $no Folk…

I’m Rosie Woods and I would love to be your new Stash Rep!

Everyone who is making the effort to read this right now has to agree $no 09/10 has been such a giggle- CHURCH, IHalloween, Winter Trip *ehemm* jelly wrestling, $no ball…even my personal low light of that teenie weenie fall at the start gates competing at Kings went down with a laugh!  We’ve dominated the slopes, definitely had more fun than any other AU club – and let’s not be shy about it – we all know we rock on the stash front! I will not let this change next year! Stash Tash is going to be a hard act to follow (my name doesn’t even rhyme!)  but hey, I’m up for a wee challenge!

I’m a Fine Art student/adrenaline junkie and having done a season in New Zealand I have a good idea of what works visually and what we would want to be seen in. Next year I want us to be Bolder and Brighterwe’ve more than earned the right to be noticed!

We have a brilliant relationship with Sketch - the owner of Syndicate, our current supplier.  I’ve been in contact with the crazy Scottish bloke and he really wants to push the boundaries for Loughborough $no too. I know that next year with the size of our club and how important we are to his business we can really work together to up the anti.  With reasonable prices in mind here are some of my realistic ideas:

·         Seen those awesome hoodies floating around campus with coloured lining visible in the hoods, different coloured sleeves/waist bands and  300+ gsm count (i.e. thick!)? These options are definitely on the agenda.

·         Who said $no should only dominate in the winter?! Quicksilver and Billabong…pssssh…summer $no boardies all the way!

·         We need $no patch badges to pimp out our individual clothing and way more stickers.

·         How about some lovely gel $no hand warmers or even $no neck warmers?

·         Of course the beanies will be making a come back but how do you fancy some trackies, warm base layers and retro sweatshirts? I say bring back those awesome personalised $no belts too!

Basically it’s a blank canvas, I have my own ideas but I think it’s really important to find out exactly what you guys want.

I love this Club – I even expertly blagged an extra 30 memberships off the Union when $no originally filled up at the beginning of the year - just so I could be with you guys!  If my big hair is anything to go by you’ll know I’m full of beans and bouncy energy which I hope makes me approachable. Either way I can’t wait for some more $no banter.

Elect me and I’ll do you proud!
