Good morning/afternoon/evening Loughborough $no!

My name is Bex Guinchard and I would take great pleasure and pride in being your next $no Secretary!

Over the past two years, $no has undoubtedly introduced me to some great mates and memories; I would love the chance to echo such $no experiences to new freshers, continue the ‘roller-coaster ride’ for returners/finalists and persist to upkeep the outstanding reputation of Loughborough $no!

In terms of club development, I would like to make $no members more aware of the general stature of the club through uploading weekly minutes onto the website. This way, current issues of discussion are easily accessible to those who want to know more.

I feel internet sign-ups should become a more prominent feature. This would make the method of payment for Recreational trips/BUDS much easier for you guys! (save getting cash out all the time!)

Sponsorship is a key element of the club. I am eager to approach season/snow/ski-based companies to bring the club some fantastic deals and perks.

Obviously uni-wide knowledge of $no is already high-flying, an on-going element to its success. I would like to continue with boosting the clubs profile, with specific emphasis on competitive events; more support for racers and freestylers at competitions!

During my gap year, I completed a ski season which included organising daily itineraries for large groups of holiday makers. This boosted my level of responsibility and organisational skills; such skills that I believe are key as the role of secretary.

I have experienced weekly company resort meetings and briefings, so I am used to recording details efficiently and accurately.

I would like to bring some of these experiences to the table!

I am a fun, lively member of $no who is passionate about the club and its success. Indubitably at times I am over-analytical and critical of precision, but I believe these attributes will ensure that the jobs required to be completed by secretary get done on time and to great effect!

At the end of the day, $no is only in existence as a result of all its lovely members, so I shall be there to (dare to use the cliché!) listen to YOU and organise the administrative, ‘behind the scenes’ work to make YOUR time as a $no member as amazing as it can be!

Cheers!

xx

 Hello $NO!!!

My name is Shell Quaile and I am running for Secretary.

·         Proposer: Jemima Barnes

I have been an active member of $no for 4 years now, and will be staying at Loughborough next year to complete an MSc.

·         Over the past 4 years I have involved myself in $no in every way I could, racing, holidaying, and getting gazeboed at the awesome $nocials and loved every minute of it.

·         I have seen the club from all angles and through 4 different committees and know exactly what makes the club tick, my love for the club has only grown stronger, and I want to work my ass off to make $no the best club it can be!!

Why would I be a good secretary I hear you say?!?

·         Firstly because I have the Experience; I am a ski coach and travel often with groups of young children, all of which have different needs so being organised and planning ahead is crucial.

·         During my gap year I was a Ski Rep for the USA Ski Team, Canadian Team, Canadian Development Squad and Regional Teams... Which you can imagine are a lot more demanding than students. Making sure they had everything they wanted was a must and therefore organisation, planning, preparing and negotiating was essential.

·         Secondly I have administrative experience off the hill. We all have to make money somehow, so over the years in the summer I have undertaken 4 different administration jobs all which require the skills needed to help $no.

·         Next year my degree will be part time so I will have more than enough time to dedicate to the lovely members of $no to make sure everything you guys ask for can be done!

·         I am also Competitions Consultant for BUSC next year which means I will be able things a lot easier when it comes to organising the LEGEDARY trip that is BUDS!!

My NEW ideas:

I would love to help organise more rec trips, getting more people involved earlier in the year in racing, freestyle and recreational trips! $no isn’t only about racers or the Winter trips! Let keep everyone involved all year round!

I would love to see more “Blue-Tee” Hey Ewe $nocials!! Getting as many people out as possible for Hey EWE in their Sno Tee’s showing the Uni why we are the best club there is!

More $nocial’s outside of Lufbra like the legendary CHURCH and BEERKELLER experiences!!

Why vote Shell?

Knowing people in the snow-sports industry could be very useful and get us a long way to getting the club better deals on both holidays and stash next year!

I am a very keen bean!! I want to listen to you! Get your ideas off the ground and give back a little to what $no has given to me!

I love $no and I would cherish the opportunity to make the Club the Best It Can Be!!!

So PLEASE VOTE SHELL QUAILE for you next $NO SECRETARY!!!
